CPQ troubleshooting and rescue
Somebody else built it. Now it does not work.
Diagnosis, correction and recovery for configurators that are wrong, slow, broken, or stopped somewhere short of finished.
Rules engines · Pricing logic · Integrations · Visualization · Performance · Handover documentation
What usually brings people here
If you recognise more than one of these, it is worth a look.
None of these need a rebuild to investigate. Most of them turn out to be a rule, a rounding decision, or an assumption nobody wrote down.
- The configurator prices a combination you do not build
- The number on the quote does not match the number in the ERP
- A rule fires in the wrong order and rules out a valid option
- The 3D view is out of step with the configuration behind it
- An integration fails quietly and nobody finds out until the floor does
- The build takes so long that people go back to the spreadsheet
- The person who wrote the rules has left
- The project stopped, and what exists has never been handed over
Scope
Existing systems, wherever they came from.
I work on the configuration logic, the pricing, the outputs and the integrations, on a system that already exists. That includes work somebody else started, work that arrived undocumented, and work that was never finished. Custom builds and platform based ones both qualify, provided I can get at the layer the problem lives in. If I cannot, I will say so in the first reply rather than after you have paid.
- Legacy configurator modernization
- Performance improvements
- Rules engine refactoring
- Bug investigation
- Integration repair
- Interface and usability improvements
- Incomplete project recovery
Before anything is changed
A diagnosis is a written answer, not a sales call.
The fixed price buys an investigation of one clearly defined problem and a written explanation of what is causing it. If the fix is small enough for you to make yourself, that is what the document will say. Nothing is changed in your system during a diagnosis.
- What is actually causing the behaviour, in specific terms
- Whether it is a rule, the pricing, the data, or the integration
- What it would take to correct, and roughly how long
- Whether it is worth correcting or worth replacing
- Written so your own developer can act on it without me
How it is bought
Three fixed prices, and a written scope before either of us commits.
Start with a defined problem, a contained correction, or a focused sprint across several related ones. Anything larger is scoped and quoted as a project.

Pricing shown is a starting point. Final scope, delivery time and availability are confirmed through Fiverr before an order begins.
Project work, quoted on scope.
Not everything is a fixed price fix. This is the same work sized as a project, and it is ordered as its own gig.
Configurator troubleshooting and modernization
Broken rules, wrong prices, slow builds, failed integrations, and projects that stopped short of finished, scoped as a project rather than as a fixed price fix.
Service links open my Fiverr profile, where each of these is listed as its own gig.
When it turns out to be bigger than a fix.
Some of these are not a correction. A configurator that is expensive to change, or one that was abandoned halfway, is a modernization or a rebuild, and it gets scoped and quoted like one. A diagnosis is still the right first step, because it is the cheapest way to find out which of the two you are looking at.
Need continuing support?
Monthly support is available after an initial engagement, once I know your rules, your pricing and your integrations.
Bring me the thing that is broken.
Tell me what it does, what it should do, and what you already know about why. That is enough to say whether it is a diagnosis, a fix, or something larger.
